Integrated Builders announced that it has completed ground-up construction on a 10,000 square-foot (s.f.) office and warehouse space on West Street in Waltham, MA. The building was constructed for ENS Waltham, LLC a joint venture between Northstar Project & Real Estate Services and Ella Properties, Inc. on behalf of tenant National Grid. The Integrated Builders team included Project Manager Dean Kelliher, Assistant Project Manager Barbara Frazier, and Superintendent Jim Leiter who collaborated with architect Winter Street Architects, structural engineer D.M. Berg Consultants, civil engineer VHB, and MEP/FP engineer Avid Engineers.

National Grid is an electric and gas provider that services homes and businesses in New York, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. The organization delivers its commodities to over 3 million customers in the Northeast, and has subdivisions throughout the region. Integrated Builders constructed the building for the division of the organization that installs meters.

Integrated Builders demolished the former Weston Racquet Club to commence construction of the new National Grid building. The duration of the site work lasted from May 2016 to November 2016. The finished product consists of a pre-engineered metal building with architectural wall panels. It contains 2,000 s.f. of office space, 1,000 s.f. of training rooms, and 1,000 s.f. of locker rooms for worker use. Furthermore, the building features a 2,000 s.f. service area for the organization’s vehicles that can be accessed through steel rollup overhead doors. It also features a 4,000 s.f. storage area for meters and meter components. There is a small kitchen and a conference room located within the office area as well as built-in closets in the main corridor. Integrated Builders installed all new asphalt and lined parking on both sides of the building as well as sliding gates and surveillance around the perimeter of the building.

National Grid’s new office and warehouse space on West Street in Waltham is located near Route 95/128 near other corporate offices, hotels, banks, retail stores and restaurants. The office and warehouse is in a convenient location for commuters as well as National Grid’s field operations.
