uppaIntegrated Builders announced that it has been selected to construct a 48,000 square-foot (s.f.) office and warehouse from the ground-up on behalf of high-end stroller retailer, UPPAbaby in Rockland, MA. The Integrated Builders team includes Project Manager Dean Kelliher, Assistant Project Manager Barbara Frazier, and Superintendent Herb Volpe who collaborated with civil engineers Grady Consulting and architects Bergmeyer Associates.

Integrated Builders will construct the new office and warehouse space with a structural steel frame, architectural insulated wall panels, and phenolic wood siding. The exterior of the building will feature a modern glass façade, and the interior will boast modern art and architectural finishes such as wood slats and ceiling décor. The new space will have a unique open office concept with no office doors, glass dividers, and exposed structural steel. The building will feature an outside deck located on the second floor as well as a barbecue center that is accessed through four 10 x 9 foot doors. The new building will also include a fitness center.

In addition, Integrated Builders will erect a 10,000 square-foot warehouse that will be used to store strollers and other infant products. The warehouse will contain a designated area to repair products and perform stroller maintenance. Furthermore, the firm will construct a small retail space in the front of the office building for walk-in and direct-to-consumer sales from warehouse inventory.

UPPAbaby will re-locate and expand its business from its current office on Sharpe Street in Hingham to its new headquarters on Weymouth Street in Rockland. The former and future locations are less than one mile apart from each other. The new office and warehouse is located near Route 3 making it a convenient location for South Shore commuters. It is situated near the South Shore Hospital as well as popular restaurants and retail stores.
