Integrated Builders has been selected for a 200,000 square-foot (S.F.) renovation for Fireking Baking Co. in Braintree, Massachusetts. The construction management team includes Project Manager Tony Ianotti, Assistant Project Manager Kim Sheehan, and Project Superintendent Peter Heinrichs who will collaborate with civil engineer Kelly Engineering Group, Inc. and architect Roth & Seelen, Inc. The mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEP/FP) will be done on a design-build basis. The renovation will transform a vacant industrial space into a fully-functional commercial bakery.
Integrated Builders will implement facade improvements and a new storefront. The outside aesthetics will be improved with insulated metal panels, new windows, and a branded awning. In order to achieve these exterior modifications sections of the existing skin will be removed and replaced. The interior construction will consist of a new production area, storage space, and administrative offices. Locker rooms and restrooms will also be added. There will be full coordination of old and new commercial kitchen equipment. Most notably, an oversized freezer and cooler as well as a flour silo will be moved into the space. The building will receive all new heating, cooling, plumbing, gas, and compressed air systems. It will also be equipped with new sprinklers throughout. LED light fixtures and controls will be installed as well as new loading docks for deliveries.
