Integrated Builders was recently represented at the 25th Annual Rodman Ride for Kids by the firm’s Project Manager, Sean Burgess. Joining over 1,500 participants, and riding alongside members of the South Shore YMCA team, Burgess completed the 50-mile cycling tour throughout southeastern Massachusetts, benefitting the local under-resourced youth.
The Rodman Ride for Kids is the leading single-day athletic fundraiser in the United States. As an umbrella-matching gift charity, the organization raises funds for youth-focused social service groups that support at-risk kids in Massachusetts. Notably, The Rodman Ride for Kids and its affiliated agencies have raised over $95 million since inception in 1991.
“The Rodman Ride for Kids presents a unique opportunity to join a team fundraising event with an outstanding mission to help under-resourced children reach their full potential,” commented Burgess. “Our group was highly-motivated and it was a pleasure to meet and ride with so many like-minded individuals. I was proud to have been able to do my part to help the organization achieve its goal and look forward to competing in next year’s Ride.”
Integrated Builders places a great emphasis on corporate philanthropy, and has been an active contributor in its community since beginning operation in 1992. Burgess has previously participated in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, which has raised over $500 million for breast cancer programs, supporting the search for a cure. In 2014, the Avon Walk attracted nearly 3,000 participants from 45 states and raised over $7 million.
