Integrated Builders announced today that it has completed a 30,000 square-foot (sf) car dealership that was constructed for the Prime Motor Group to replace the Prime Hyundai Quincy location. The multi-million dollar project was led by Superintendent Herb Volpe and Project Manager Brian Kidder who provided construction management expertise in collaboration with The Curtis Architectural Group, structural engineers Flood Consulting, and mechanical/electrical/plumbing firm Environmental Design Engineering, Inc.

“The reason we moved the dealership from where it is presently to here is the space. We were on a postage stamp with no customer parking, and in an outdated building,” commented Joe Rose, Facilities Director at Prime Motor Group. “The South Shore is the hot market for cars, and finding land this size is very difficult.”

Integrated Builders broke ground on the construction project in November 2015 following the demolition of the former Blue Cross Blue Shield manufacturing warehouse. Throughout the 8 month schedule the Firm maintained consistent communication with the Client which contributed to a strong partnership and seamless execution of the project. The new Prime Hyundai facility is a single level dealership that features a 27,000 sf showroom and a 3,000 sf storage and parts mezzanine. The showroom includes modern finishes and a 12-foot glass storefront that allows for ample natural light. Additionally, there are 2 service drives and 14 vehicle lifts in the building.

“It was a pleasure to work with Prime Motor Group,” said Jay Dacey, President of Integrated Builders. “We look forward to establishing a long-standing professional relationship with them.”

Prime Hyundai is located at 1022 Hingham Street in Rockland, on Route 228 and near Route 3.
