Integrated Builders in collaboration with owner ENS Waltham LLC (a joint venture between Northstar Project & Real Estate Services and Ella Properties), and tenant National Grid co-hosted the 1st Annual Safety Luncheon at the West Street construction site located in Waltham, MA.
The event was held in response to the site remaining accident-free since the start of construction. The workers at the National Grid site were rewarded for their efforts with a catered barbecue lunch and cold refreshments on an autumn afternoon outside the perimeter of the work area. The luncheon hosts sponsored a raffle for field personnel, and handed out prizes such as Home Depot and Dunkin’ Donuts gift cards. There were also speeches made in which representatives from ENS Waltham LLC and Integrated Builders reiterated the importance of safeguards used on the construction site as well as mindfulness when it comes to machine operations.
“We are here this afternoon to thank you for your continued efforts to remain safe on the job site. On this date, the project has exceeded 10,000 man hours incident-free,” stated John Concannon, Integrated Builders Vice President of Operations. “The luncheon is a wonderful example of teaming up with a client to make safety a priority,” he added.
The new National Grid building is a 10,000 square-foot (s.f.) office and warehouse that will be used for the division of the organization that installs gas meters. The work on the new space is scheduled to finish in November 2016.
