Integrated Builders has kicked-off construction on a Prime Hyundai dealership on behalf of Westwood-based Prime Motor Group. Located at 1022 Hingham Street in Rockland, MA, the new 30,000 square-foot (sf) facility will replace the former Blue Cross Blue Shield office/manufacturing warehouse that is currently located on the project site.
The Prime Hyundai dealership project scope includes the demolition of the existing 100,000 sf building. The new, single-story dealership will feature a 27,000 sf, 12-foot, curtain wall glass showroom and office space, as well as a 3,000 sf storage and parts mezzanine. Additionally, the new development will boast state-of-the-art designs and finishes that are consistent with the Hyundai brand.
“The Prime Hyundai dealership will be a great addition to the Hingham Street corridor, as it will bring a convenient, well-located option for car shoppers south of Boston,” commented Jay Dacey, President of Integrated Builders. “The new facility’s 12-foot, curtain wall glass showroom will capture an abundance of natural light and the attached annex for storage, parts, and vehicle service will ensure a positive customer experience.”
The Integrated Builders team, led by Superintendent Herb Volpe, Project Manager Brian Kidder, and Assistant Project Manager Karen Murray, will work in close collaboration with architects The Curtis Architectural Group, structural engineers Flood Consulting, and mechanical/electrical/plumbing firm Environmental Design Engineering, Inc.
“We chose to contract Integrated Builders due in part to the firm’s extensive, successful experience with car dealerships and its reputation as an industry-leader in construction management services,” said Matt McGovern, Vice President of Prime Motor Group. “We are confident that they will work efficiently to create and implement an effective construction plan that will bring to life a wonderful new dealership and service center that will provide a top-level lot synonymous with the Prime Motor Group name.”
1022 Hingham Street is conveniently located directly on Route 228 off Route 3 at Exit 17 and provides high-visibility and easy access for prospective car-buyers.
