Integrated Builders announced that it has added the last steel beam to the roof of the 105,000 square-foot structure under construction at Two Wells Avenue in Newton, Massachusetts.
Integrated Builders started the Two Wells Avenue office expansion in May 2016 with the demolition of the North and West areas of the original building. It has since increased the building’s total size from 69,000 s.f. to 132,000 s.f. Integrated Builders implemented selective demolition to preserve 27,000 s.f. of the original structure on the West end, and attached a 105,000 s.f. addition. The new and improved office building at Two Wells Avenue will boast a modern exterior design, new utilities, underground storm water infiltration, and an extended parking lot. In addition, Integrated Builders will install a 3,162 s.f. common corridor that connects the new and old building areas together. The Two Wells Avenue asset started as a single floor, steel framed office building and its addition has been built three stories high.
The Integrated Builders team includes Senior Project Manager Brian Kidder, Assistant Project Manager Barbara Frazier, Superintendent Craig Ablondi, and Assistant Superintendent Stephen Shinto who provided their construction management expertise in collaboration with architect Spagnolo Gisness & Associates.
Two Wells Avenue is located near Route 128/Interstate 95 and the Massachusetts Turnpike. It is an ideal location for commuters. It is also a significant contribution to the changing aesthetics in the Newton Center area and the Wells Avenue Office Park.
